We exist to protect and improve the nation's health and wellbeing and reduce health inequalities.

We are one of nine local centres across four regions (North of England, South of England, Midlands and East of England, and London).

We employ scientists, researchers and public health professionals, and we work closely with national and local government, the NHS, industry and the voluntary and community sector: focusing on building advocacy and partnerships, developing world-class science, knowledge and intelligence, and delivering specialist public health services.
