Welcome to our public involvement pages. We want to ensure that patients and the public play a lead role in the key decisions that will improve health across our region.

We bring patients, carers and communities together with health and social care providers, industry and researchers to make a real and lasting difference to health and social care in the East Midlands. This is commonly referred to as Patient and Public Involvement (PPI). This is an opportunity to shape future health and social care in the region. There are many terms for public/patient involvement, and it can mean you spending varying amounts of time assisting on projects and programmes, or just giving us some feedback; it really depends on what you want to do.

Anyone with an interest in our work is invited to get involved with our activities - we would like to learn from your experiences of success and failure, and to hear your views on what is needed in the future. Any level of knowledge, understanding or experience is welcomed, any profession, or none. You could be a service user, patient, carer or just want to find out more.

If you would like to get involved with the EMAHSN's work on patient and public involvement please e-mail This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Our public and patient leadership team work across all our programmes and projects to ensure that the voices of patients and public are heard and can be taken in to consideration when making decisions.
