We are pleased to have taken on the hosting arrangement for the East Midlands Respiratory Network (EMRN).
The programme aims to reduce variability and improve chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma services by focusing on the quality, availability and accessibility of services, supporting adoption and spread of innovative practice. The programme will focus on developing a repository and implementation support service for innovative, value based resources for commissioners and providers, generating solutions to a high volume, high cost long term condition.
East Midlands Respiratory Programme's objective is to "improve the outcomes and quality of life for patients with respiratory disease, publicising and reducing unwarranted variation, and up-skilling clinical teams". The programme will achieve this through teaching and education for healthcare workers, and different respiratory projects. It is important this happens in the areas that people think are important. The programme is currently running a survey to assess people's feedback, please take a moment to tell us what you think.
