We are proud to have enabled the successful development and adoption of innovations that are improving clinical outcomes, delivering better patient experiences and driving down the cost of care.

Here are a couple of examples of successful innovations that are making a difference to patients across the country:

ChatHealth is a web-based text messaging service which connects secondary school children with school nurses. EMAHSN invested £100,000 to support the development of ChatHealth by Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust. ChatHealth is now available to over 1 million children across England and is enabling teenagers to engage with healthcare professionals in unprecedented numbers.

Silhouette is a collaboration across Derbyshire Clinical Commissioning Groups, Derby Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Trust, Aranz Medical Ltd. and Entec Health Ltd. The collaboration, led by EMAHSN, is introducing a 3D wound imaging and measurement system that is enabling diabetic foot ulcer care to be transferred successfully from hospital to community. Not only does this mean patients can be treated closer to home, avoiding painful trips to the hospital, but it also relives the pressure on hard pressed hospital clinics and drives down the cost of treatment.
