EMAHSN Patient Safety Collaborative QI Network

The East Midlands QI Network is made up of individuals working in the field of quality improvement. This includes patients and representatives from industry, academia, health and social care.

The aim of the network is to:
  • Bring people together to offer peer support through facilitated learning
  • Provide a forum for learning and sharing
  • Develop capability in QI science methods so that we build a critical mass of people in the East Midlands who can support QI in their place of work
  • To provide a safe space for people to connect, debrief, re-energise and innovate
We want to bring together people who are working and have expertise in the quality field. Quality encompasses all three domains of the DARZI definition: patient experience, patient safety and clinical effectiveness. The QI Network is open to anyone, there is no application process. We ask you to sign up to the QI Network so that we have a group of individuals we connect with, send information to, exchange ideas with and support the capability building in quality improvement across the East Midlands.

We held a QI network event in May 2017 to collectively get a better understanding and improve capacity and capbility in the East Midlands. The QI network is made up of number of elements, view the key themes captured by a graphic artist at our event pdfhere.
QThe QI Network was set up in response to the Health Foundation’s development of the Q community. We wanted to engage with our stakeholders in the East Midlands to inform them of the opportunities to join Q and other networks such as ENQUIRE, to enable them to apply for Q and to connect with others across the East Midlands.

You can apply to join the Health Foundation Q community from 3rd August 2017, applications close midnight 4th September.
